History
Mount Tsavo played a crucial role during World War I, serving as the backdrop for dramatic battles between German and British forces for control of vital supply routes, such as Taveta and Salaita Hill. The landscape and local communities were deeply shaped by this conflict, with over one million Kenyans participating as soldiers and porters.
