The resort is nestled along one of Kenya’s most breathtaking bays, celebrated for its vibrant coral reef teeming with multicolored fish and its expansive beach of fine, powdery white sand, all within the magnificent Watamu Marine Park.
Resort Layout & Accommodations
Set within beautifully manicured tropical gardens, the resort is divided into three distinct sections:
Lily Palm Section: Located just 100 meters from the beach, offering a classic “standard” style.
Duara Section: Positioned slightly closer to the sea.
Mapango Section: Prime beachfront location featuring the most elegantly furnished rooms. These showcase a sophisticated Arab-African mix with authentic Lamu doors. This section serves as the resort’s hub, hosting the main services, the “All-Inclusive” bar, swimming pools, and two restaurants.
Dining Experience
Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a fresh seafood dinner or—for a taste of home—an authentic pizza at the à la carte restaurant, which features a stunning sea-view terrace. The Italian management ensures high-quality standards at the buffet, specifically tailored to suit Italian tastes and culinary expectations.

While the resort offers a full program of daytime activities and evening shows with Italian-speaking staff, the surrounding area is easily accessible:
Sundowners: A short, inexpensive taxi or tuk-tuk ride takes you to elegant sunset spots. We highly recommend Lichtaus, a cosmopolitan must-see with beach parties once a week, or Prawns Lake for a traditional atmosphere with samosas served on stilt houses surrounded by lush greenery.
After Hours: For those looking to dance, Papa Remo and Speedy’s Bar & Restaurant (formerly Come Back) are the places to be.

Location
Located in Watamu, with the Mapango section directly on the beach, the Duara section 50 m away, and the Lily Palm section at 100 m. The resort is situated 25 km south of Malindi and 100 km north of Mombasa Airport.
Sun, Sea and Sand
A wide beach of fine white sand, equipped with sunbeds and beach towels available on a first-come, first-served basis. Large shaded areas are provided by the palm trees lining the shore. This part of the Kenyan coast is subject to the tidal phenomenon: every six hours, you can witness this incredible spectacle as the sea recedes to reveal the seabed, before returning to cover the pristine white sands once again.
Rooms
63 rooms divided into 3 sections. The Lily Palm section (25-30 m²) and, for a supplement, the Duara section (35 m²) located closer to the beach, and the Mapango section (35 m²) situated closest to the sea, featuring Afro-Arabic décor and authentic Lamu doors. All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms including a bidet, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV (available in Mapango and Duara rooms only), safety deposit box, mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, and a terrace or balcony.
Bar and Restaurants
2 restaurants, including the main buffet restaurant featuring an Italian chef and, for an extra charge, the ‘Mapango Restaurant & Pizzeria.’ This à la carte venue specializes in seafood and pizza, boasting a beautiful sea-view terrace. There are also 2 bars, including one at the beach (available for an extra charge).

Let’s explore the Hotel
3 saltwater and freshwater swimming pools, including one with a whirlpool in the Lily Palm section and one beachfront pool with a dedicated children’s area. All pools are equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds, and beach towels for guest use. Free Wi-Fi is available in common areas, along with a TV room. Available for an extra charge: laundry service, medical assistance, hairdresser, babysitting (on request), souvenir shop, and massage center. Small pets (up to 5 kg) are welcome upon request
